A Fab Bag for Fab Friday 72

Happy day after Labor Day everyone.  I usually post on Monday’s but seeing as it was Labor Day I opted to take a day off as well and moved my Monday post to Tuesday.  Thanks for joining me.

Every so often I am asked to make up a bunch of cards for someone.  I could easily just through them in a grocery bag and hand to them but what kind of paper crafter would I be if I did that?  I usually make some type of bag to hold them and carry them in.  One more little treat from me.  Stampin Up One Big Meaning AverysOwlery.comI created this bag using two pieces of 12X12 Basic Black.  I cut it down to 10X12, scored at 2 inches on the long side and 6 inches and 4 inches on the short side for each piece.  When put together it makes a 6 inch wide by 8 inch high by 2 inch deep bag.

No bag is complete without somethin’ somethin’ on the front.  I used some retired silver washi tape across the top, some silver ribbon for a handle, and a doily with silver thread behind.  The Thank You stamp (I love this thank you font and design, it is just lovely on anything, and fits perfectly inside a 2 inch circle punch) is from One Big Meaning.  I punched a 2-1/2 inch silver foil circle to go behind it.  A couple of silver sequins for final touches.

I had this all completed last week when I saw the Fab Friday challenge.  It was like I channeled it or something.  Thanks Fab Friday!http://fabfridaystampinchallenge.blogspot.com/

  1. Beautiful, Lynn! You can never go wrong with Black, Silver and White – and this project is sooooo right. Thanks for playing along with the FabFriday sketch challenge.

  2. Cute bag! You are right, it adds a nice to touch when you give or sell a bunch of cards. The bag itself could generate more business for you.

  3. Very nice! The silver really pops against the black! And the satin ribbon hands really added a lot of elegance to this sweet little card bag!
