This past Saturday I hosted my monthly Stamping Technique Class. I like to share various techniques or better stated, ah ha moments with my ladies. One of the best things I’ve found is to share how to use the framelits and dies, especially if they look complicated. Here is one of our projects from this month, remember, it is never to early to get ready for holiday Gifting.
These square pillow boxes are so versatile. you can view other posts using this die here. To make this box I cut two pieces of Night of Navy using the square box die. I cut a third piece from whisper white. I also cut out the snowflake from the Pillow Box die set. I love Navy and White together and especially love it at the Holidays.
I embossed the navy with the Softly Falling Textured Impression Folder and then used a sponge dauber and white craft ink to highlight the snow.
To make the scene with the white I cut off the two side tabs and one of the top folds. I placed my Sleigh Ride edgelit so that the houses would be straight up and down, not tipsy. I stamped the sentiment using Night of Navy ink.
After assembling the box , I popped the scene up on dimensionals and added some sequins and the snowflakes. One of the boxes has a snowflake from the Snow Flurry Punch. What a cute box for giving some homemade cookies, candy, legos! You name it, it will be well received in one of these.
