Every once in awhile I come across a project on the internet that I just have to recreate. Today’s project is one of those. I saw today’s project on Connie Stewart’s SimplySimpleStamping.com website. She would send the instructions to you if you placed an order or paid a minimal fee. Since I’m a Demonstrator I opted for paying the small fee and it was definitely worth it. If you would like to see Connie’s original post, click Here.
Today’s project contains this beautiful box with room to hold 8 coordinating cards and envelopes, two are shown here.
The box and these two cards were both made using Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper. This paper collection is all black, gray and vanilla. I focused on this color collection for my project
I fell in love with the closure and details. To color the roses on the cover I used my aqua painter and cherry cobbler ink to fill in the design. I was heavy with the ink and light with the water to get a saturated look. For the lighter roses I did the opposite. I sponged Mossy Meadow on the leaves.
The inside is just as lovely. The pocket on the left is perfect for holding stamps or note paper. The sentiment is from the stamp set included with the Watercolor Wishes Kit
The box on the right holds all the cards and envelopes.
Stop by Monday when I’ll be sharing all the cards I included inside and my tips for creating them.
Thanks for stopping by today. To order any of the products I used in my project, click on the pictures below or the Shop button on the menu bar above. Either of these options will take you directly to my on-line Stampin Up Store.
