Last Friday I shared with you this lovely box for gift giving. I found the design and instructions on Connie Stewart’s SimplySimpleStamping.com. To see my post from Friday, click Here. To check out Connie’s post click Here.
Today I want to share with you the four cards I tucked inside. The box can hold more, if they are less embellished than mine ended up being. I have some thick Ribbon Bows, pearls and dimensional flowers that made it so only 4 cards with envelopes would fit easily into the box.
All my cards use the same color combinations
Tips. Do you see the corner crops? That is from the new Curvy Corner Trio Punch. From the name you would think it would cut three different shapes. Well you would be wrong, it actually can cut four. See the top right corner of the card. I used the same corner punch twice but flipped it over the second time. That punch is purposely not centered into the corner. When you use it twice on the same corner it leave the tiny little corner in the middle for a fourth type of crop. I used the same paper as the cover adding sponged Cherry Cobbler ink and Mint Macaron for the roses and leaves.
For this card I used the other corner crop from the Curvy Corner Trio Punch, with a few Pearls for accents.
The highlight of this card is definetly the paper. Timeless Elegance is all Black, Gray and vanilla. I used my Blushing Bride Marker to color in all the flowers and then used Mint Macaron sponge dauber vertically on the stems as well as sponging around the edges.
I created my own background for this card, using Smokey Slate and Mint Macaron with stamps from Flower Shop and World of Dreams. To create the flower I used the corresponding Fun Flower punch for the leaves, Pansy punch Petite Petals Punch and the flower from Itty Bitty Accents Punch. I curled the petals and leaves by placing them on a piercing mat and rubbing them with the handle end of the paper piercer.
