Today I made a card with the Pals Paper Arts color challenge as my inspiration. I’ve been very focused lately on prepping for the craft show that I didn’t have much chance to really create new things and I felt my inspirations running out. Challenges are a great way to get back in the groove.
The color challenge includes Chocolote Chip, Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral and while you might initially think fall, I thought Birthday. I opted though to use a lot of white space to balance the overall darkness of these three colors together.
I love the Birthday Blossom set. The flower spray is a nice backdrop to the main flower that coordinates with the pansy punch. I stamped the images in Chocolate chip then water colored the large flower and the smaller ones with my aqua painter and calypso coral with some hints of crushed curry.
A thin border of Chocolate Chip with a fine strip of crochet trim provide the final touches.
