Winter Wishes for the December Pals Blog Hop

2015badge-4Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for December; we are thankful you stopped by. This month we are showcasing projects that feature Stampin’ Up! products that should be on everyone’s wish list. We hope you enjoy our creations.
You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below. The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

The item I think should be on everyone’s wish list if it isn’t already in your stash of supplies, is the Mini Treat Bag thinlets.  Let me tell you, this little gem is the bomb.  You can create the cutest little bags, perfectly sized for decorating and gift giving.  Here are some pics of the many I made this year to give out to family and friends.12-8-2015 9-23-05 PM

Look at all the dies included in this set.  12, wow.  And so cute, with the bow, For You, Enjoy, banners, hearts, stars, borders.  It’s fabulous.

I used Winter Wonderland Specialty Designer Series Paper and Gold Fancy Designer Vellum to create the bags.  Because that paper is beautiful on it’s own, I didn’t want to over decorate the front.  I went simple and classic sticking to the black/gold /white color scheme.

Stampin Up AverysOwlery.com Winter Wonderland Mini Treat Bags For the sentiment I used the Note Tag punch with the coordinating Merry Everything stamp set.  This gave me options for non-Christmas sentiments, but yet still festive.   I touched up the sentimets with a bit of Gold Glitz Dazzling Details.

Stampin Up AverysOwlery.com Winter Wonderland Mini Treat Bags I used the Delicate Ornaments die with Gold Glimmer paper to add an ornament to each bag and stapled it with Gold Bakers Twine to each bag. These ornaments were so easy to cut out when I used my Big Shot with the Precision Cutting Plate, on sale this week in the weekly deals.  Final touches are to fill them with….chocolate of course. In making these bags I ended up with a lot of decent sized pieces of specialty paper and vellum.
