Saturday my husband and I had our grandaughters for the day, Avery (the name sake of this blog) age 6 and Hadley her sister age 3. We had errands to run and I thought picking out our christmas tree would be fun with them. They also picked out a wreath for the front door and were big helpers bringing up the decorations from the basement. My card today is in honor of this yearly outing.
What better stamp set to use than White Christmas. This set was first introduced last year (2014) and was a carry over item to the 2015-2016 annual catalog. I used only one half sheet of Crumb Cake to make my card. I colored the car blue because I drive a blue Toyota Rav 4. For any of you Whovian fans, it is nicknamed the Tardis because it is the exact right color of blue and bigger on the nside. I used my aqua painter and white craft ink to paint the hills, and a white gel pen on the trees and the snowman.
Don’t forget the inside. I stamped just one of the trees and the deer image from the set. I colored the deer with Crumb Cake marker and highlighed it with the white gel pen.
The girls and I had to take Hank, our one year old Labradoodle, to the vet that morning. I put Hank in the back end of the SUV because the girls and their car seats were in the back seat. Hank didn’t think he should sit back there by himself so he opted to climb over the seat and sit between (or sometimes on) them. Here’s a picture of the three of them. Only Hank looks happy to be there!!

Such a great card! Love how you carried the scene over to the inside. Love the picture and Tardis, too.
An adorable card inside and out! It sounds like the family had a great day and the girls will remember it. Hank is precious. The expression on the girls faces gave me a giggle. Thanks!
Love your card and that picture is hilarious!!!
Great card and I love Hank and the girls! Of course he should not be back there all alone!
Cute card! Love the picture and story about the pup and granddaughters too!
Love the sweetness of your card. Makes me homesick for the “old days” when our family’s would go to cut down on our Christmas tree. Merry Christmas to you and your family including Hank!
