Make Your Own Plaid background

Another entry in the love fest I’m having with my new Clarity Stencil Brushes.  To see my previous post, click here. These brushes can be used with or without stencils.  I starte off just with masks (stencils) so I could get a feel for how to use them.  The card I posted earlier this week used the Stripes decorative mask in a pretty standard basic way.  I used Daffodil Delight and Pacific Point to create the stripes.  For today’s card I turned things on its side a bit.

I put the mask on a right angle and colored the stripes from one bottom corner with Pacific Point.  I then turned the paper 180 degrees and used Daffodil Delight.  Where the color mixed made a beautiful green.  With this beautiful background I didn’t want to over do the front so I stamped one of the images from Helping Me Grow on in Chocolate Chip.  The Daffodil Delight cardstock helps to make the colors all work together on the Pacific Point card base.

This card took about 2 mins to create, really.  The masking was so fast I couldn’t believe it, and the brushes provide such a smooth look to the color.
