Happy Day After Mother’s Day

Happy day after Mother’s Day everyone.  I’d like to share a picture of me and all my girls, plus Hank, from yesterday.  I had foot surgery last week so the girls came over and fixed a wonderful brunch and we watched Sound Of Music.  That was a previous tradition we had on mothers’ day when the girls were still living at home.  It was so fun to relive that, and to be pampered.

I made one more Mother’s day card last week that I want to share.  From the front, it could be any type of card really.  I stamped Happy Mother’s Day on the inside but it could just as easily work as a birthday or other kind of card.

I started by snipping out the flowers from English Garden Designer Series Paper to use as the focal point.  I paired it with some Watermelon Wonder ribbon and background embossed with Lovely Lace.  I just recently purchased that embossing folder and I really don’t know why I waited so long.  The sentiment is from Cottage Greetings.  I stamped then trimmed and cut it in half to mount on the front.  It came together very easily with just the snipping taking the most time.

I would also like to do a shout out to Josee at Stampingjo.com.  I was featured today on Josee’s My Crafty Friends Monday! post for my projects using Number of Years.  Thank you Josee for the recognition.
