I used last month’s Paper Pumpkin supplies to make today’s Happy Birthday card for one of my staff.

The finished card size is 4.25 x 4.25. Square cards are a fun alternative to the standard size every so often.

Jar of Love made it’s debut in my blog today. I had just received it last week and wanted to put it to the test. I used the coordinating framelits to create the window shaker. I stamped the outside image of the jar with Sweet Sugar Plum on Sweet Sugarplum card stock. then used the inside of the jar framelit to create the hole. I used it again on the white card base and the Sweet Sugarplum Designer Series Paper. The flowers and stems as well as the jar lid all came from Jar of love bundle too. I used two pieces of window sheet with a new product, Foam Adhesive Strips, in between. These long thin strips are easy to use for shaker cards. They even bend around corners to keep all those goodies inside.
I used the Bunch of Banners framelits to create the banner for Happy and Birthday. The birthday stamp is from Thinking of You Hostess Set. If you need any other reason to purchase this Hostess set, the Birthday Banner is it. I reach for that all the time.
So, where is the Paper Pumpkin in this card. It is the sequins in the Jar. There were lots of sequins in the kit last month, plenty to use for this project as well.
