I bought the badges and banners bundle (stamp set and punch) primarily because I liked the birdcage and the punch was used ‘upside-down’ to create it. I know, the simple things.
PICK YOUR COLORS
I used Night of Navy and Whisper White.
PICK YOUR TECHNIQUE
I really like the look of white embossing powder on dark cardstock. I used white craft ink with white embossing for the banner then used the Duet Banner Punch to punch it out. The Bird Cage was stamped with Night of Navy on white and punched out with the Badge Punch.
PICK YOUR THEME
Honestly, this card looked better in my head. I tried to create a ‘dresser’ for the bird cage to sit upon but it never looked right. The doily helps. And the background paper from Floral Boutique reminds me of a victorian home where you might actually see a bird cage.
