Touches of Texture Birthday

This is a CASE the Catalog entry.  The samples in our catalogs are just fabulous so why not try to recreate them.

PICK YOUR COLORS

I used Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay, Smoky Slate and Basic Gray, just like the catalog.

PICK YOUR TECHNIQUE

Did you know that you can use clear embossing powder on all of the Stampin Up inks?  Yup!.  I stamped the floral image in the center with Calypso Coral and then quickly powdered it with clear embossing powder and heat set it.  This allowed me to color in the yellow flowers without it running outside the lines plus give the card some texture.

PICK YOUR THEME

The catalog version of this card calls for a simply Hello.  I wanted to make it into a Birthday Card so I used the Happy Thinlet from Hello You and a Birthday Stamp from Endless Birthday.  The paper is from A Little Foxy Designer Series Stack.
