Recently I did some cleaning up of my stamp area and determined a way to organized all my Paper Pumpkin stamp sets. I found I had all these little individual stamp sets on their own window sheets but never remembered to use them or could find anything when I did. So, I created my own paper pumpkin stamp set cases.
STORAGE
I found all the empty Stampin Up cases I had on hand, some the clear mount size and some the wood mount size. I’m going to need more empty cases and luckily they are very inexpensive to purchase, but for now I at least had a start.
CASE LINERS
I measured the size of an existing stamp case liner and cut copy paper to that size with a score line on one side. I purchased a “Paper Pumpkin” marketing stamp set about a year ago from Stampin Up and used that to stamp the header and side label of my case liners. My case liners aren’t very neat, but they do the trick in helping me find that sentiment or stamp I want to use.
SORTING
My preferred method of storing my regular stamp sets is by theme, not alphabetical. All the flower sets are together, all the holiday sets, all the shape sets, all the sentiment sets, you get the idea. Paper Pumpkin sets needed to be the same so they could fit in together with my other stamps. That meant pulling apart stamp collections from several paper pumpkin months into one case.
The first one I tackled was It’s Your Day, which happened to be one of the stamps to be sorted. It includes all kinds of sentiment stamps around people and events.
