My niece Shauna has a birthday this weekend. What a fabulous time for her. She is going to school for Veterinary Science and is loving her studies, and the horses she gets to care for as part of it. What stories she tells of the horse’s personalities. I’m so proud of her. Here is her card.
PICK YOUR SUPPLIES
I used lots of supplies to make this card. 4 stamp sets, two framelits and a punch. Whew. So here goes.
I started with the background by creating a tone on tone faux embossing look with the loops from Cupcake Cutouts cutting them with Peekaboo Peach and gluing them onto Peekaboo Peach card stock. A stencil brush was used to add Peekaboo Peach ink onto it for some shading.
The Balloon punch was used to cut the balloons for the front with some thick whisper white bakers twine for the strings and bows.
Time of Year stamp set and Bunch of Banners framelits for the birthday banner. I wanted to stamp ‘It’s Your’ on the balloons but I couldn’t find that phrase exactly in my stash so I pulled out the Labeler Alphabet stamp set. I love this set. I can easily create whatever phrase I want by stamping and cutting them out.
DON’T FORGET THE INSIDE
Recently I did some cleaning up of my stamp area and organized all my Paper Pumpkin stamp sets. I found I had all these little individual stamp sets on their window sheets but never remembered to use them or could find anything when I did. So, I created my own paper pumpkin stamp set cases. The one I had labeled as It’s Your Day came in handy today for Shauna’s card where the sentiment and the cake image were both together. For more on my Paper Pumpkin storage solution Click Here.

Lynn
Such a great card, Lynn, with beautiful, unexpected colors. I love how you’ve used the swirly from the Cupcake dies!
