Holiday Cards – Christmas Pines

September is a wonderful time.  The kids are back in school and the Holiday items start hitting the stores, especially craft and DIY stores where you need time to make your items.  Card making is no different.  This is my initial post in a series for my Holiday cards for this season, you can never have too many Holiday cards so I start early and make bunches.

Today’s card is actually cased, almost to the penny, from the Stampin Up holiday catalog cover.  It is one of the reasons I purchased the stamp set and framelit bundle Christmas Pines and Pretty Pines Dies I used to create it as I really liked the rustic homey look.

A FEW CHANGES

I added the Pine Bough Textured Embossing folder on the card base.  I forgot to stamp the pine boughs on the white piece in under the thinlits.  I used two cherry cobbler bows together and omitted the dangling mini pine cones so I could mail it without issue.

  1. This is a beautiful card, Lynn. I love the pine boughs EF and the layer of DSP with the stamped and diecut pine cones and the double diecut bows. So pretty. Have a great day.
