Happy Friday. And happy long weekend for those of you not having to work on Monday to celebrate Martin Luther King Day. My company adopted this holiday many years ago and even though most have taken time off over the holidays, this weekend is still appreciated.
Every have a need just to send a note to someone. No particular purpose. This card is just that. I happened to have the So Detailed thinlits on my worktable and I thought there had to be a way to make a pocket card using the die.
I cut a piece of marina mist with the largest die, and then wrapped it around a 4.25×5.5 piece of marina mist to make the pocket. I only adhered it on the very bottom of the die and the back side. I cut another piece of marina mist to 4.25 x 2 and place it on the back to cover the edges of the die and help secure it.
The pocket piece is Dapper denim cut to 4 x 5.25, and whisper white at 3.75 x 5. For the design in the center I cut a flower from Stylish Stems thinlits into a scrap piece of card stock. This die is designed to not cut the outline of the image, just the inside bits. I used the cardstock then as a stencil and added marina Mist with my Clarity Brush. Daubers or aqua painter would also work. The Just a Note sentiment comes from Lift Me Up stamp set. I masked of the remainder of the sentiment before stamping.
Thanks for stopping by and check back often.
