Coffee Break Suite

Who loves Coffee?  Me, I do.  My husband learned pretty quickly that coffee first thing in the morning is very important to me.  I don’t over indulge in coffee.  Usually just one 12 oz in the morning is enough.  Some days I’ll grab a second cup later morning but that is not every day.  But that first one, yes I have to have it.  I always make my first cup at home and drink it in the car as we drive to work.  The second one though, that usually comes from Starbucks.

I went to town on this card.  It was so much fun. I created it especially for my Up-line Brian King (StampwithBrian.com) who hosted a challenge for his team on Facebook.  We were to post a new card every day for 15 days.  This card was the last card I posted there, made to thank him for challenging us to be Awesome.  He and I have had our fair share of visits to Starbucks too.

COFFEE BREAK SUITE

Stampin Up has a new suite in the annual catalog called Coffee Break Suite.  It screams coffee house and the warmth, and even the smell you find in those places, like Starbucks.  The rich colors of brown and green played off of the pale soft sky blue in the Coffee Break Designer Series paper and coordinating ribbon, the Coffee Cafe stamp set and the Coffee Cups framelit dies.  There is even a tiny little framelit to make the no spill stick that goes in the drinking hole in the lid.  The Designer Series Paper has so much to offer,  even one that looks like coffee rings.

Tea drinkers, never fear.  There are tea bag tags in the suite too, as well as ice cubes, and even whipped cream for those frozen delights.

MIX AND MATCH

I used two of the pieces of DSP as background.  1-1/2 x 5 and 2-1/4 x 5 layered on top of a 4 x 5-14 piece of Early Espresso on top of a standard 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 card base.  I even made a little no-spill stick for the coffee lid.

Thanks for stopping by today.
