I’m sure some of you are old enough to remember this nostalgic look. I remember wearing dresses like this in grade school. Do you? This new suite of products is just adorable. It reminds me of my grandmother’s kitchen.
I was inspired by a card by Debi Meissner’s card. You can see her card and her blog here. I love her style and how she made the window shopping look. I changed mine up a bit, mostly because I couldn’t figure out how she had her chef facing the other direction. Gonna have to look up that technique.
THE PARTICULARS
Again, today, I used the blender pen for rich color and shading. I also pulled out the brick mask from Party Pattern masks sold as a companion product with the embossing paste but just as handy with straight ink. My card base is actually Thick Whisper White with cherry cobbler bricks. It was a still too stark so I softened the whole thing with Sahara Sand. I added a bit to the striped awning as well.
I used a piece of the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper cut at 1/4 inch thick for the window frame. The Stampin Trimmer works great for cutting inside.
Thanks for visiting.
Happy Stamping
