Best of Anniversaries

This week my brother and sister- in- law celebrate their wedding anniversary.  Today’s card is for them.  I pulled out Best Birds as I’ve been seeing so many great projects with that set and I was thrilled there was a Happy Anniversary sentiment included.  It’s great when a whole card comes together with one stamp set.  Happy Day.

THE PARTICULARS

I chose Tranquil Tide and Peekaboo Peach as my color palette using a blender pen and ink pad to color the bird and flowers. I used a light touch of color first then added more for shading.  Just tapping the blender pen onto the ink pad gives great color options.

I used the same blender pen on the branch and leaves.  This was originally stamped with Early Espresso so the blender pen with Tranquil Tide picked up some of that ink as well.  I followed up directly with my marker for shading.
