More Little Houses

In my last post I shared a card I made with the Hearts Come Home stamp set.  Today’s card I’m using the same stamp set but really highlighting the edglets you can purchase separately or with the bundle.

THE PARTICULARS

I cased this card from the new Holiday Catalog.  You can see the inspiration on page 39. I primarily used the Hometown Greetings Edgelits Dies with a couple of the sentiments from the Hearts Come Home stamp set.

I used whisper white card stock, gold glimmer paper and embossing paste.

Cutting out pieces of the glimmer paper to layer behind the windows of all the houses wasn’t easy.  In fact it was a bit of a pain, but well worth the effort for the final result

Thanks for visiting and I hope you stop back on Friday for another card using this stamp set.

  3. Wow! Love this card along with the beautiful houses. The paste is a great touch.

  4. The “snow” looks super-realistic and adds a beautiful finishing touch to an already gorgeous card!!! Thanks for sharing it!

  5. Love your card Lynn, is there a tutorial or instructions on how you made it please, especially how you applied the embossing paste for the snow? Cheers and thankyou, Marilyn. Merry Christmas from the UK.

    • awe, thanks Marilyn. I don’t have a tutorial, but I can tell you I cut many of the houses for the various layers. I added the embossing paste using the pallett knife, just swiping it over the cardstock. Nothing fancy. Happy Christmas to you. Lynn
