Springtime Impressions Thinlits

Today’s exploration of a new Stampin Up product is the Springtime Impressions Thinlits die set.  It actually coordinates with the Abstract Impressions stamp set and the entire Garden Impressions Suite but for today’s project I focused just on the largest die in the set and how to use it in different ways.

AS INTENDED – PROBABLY

I cut the die using whisper white paper to make an overlay of my card base.  To spruce it up a little I used Clarity Stencil brushes to add color to the cut out.  Highland Heather for the middle flowers, Grapefruit Grove for the larger flowers with some Call me Clover for leaves and Daffodil Delight as well. The sentiment is stamped in Gorgeous Grape and layered over a flower punched in Daffodil delight using the Daisy Punch two times. The leaves are Call me Clover with the Leaf Punch.  I happen to have a piece of Grapefruit Grove DSP on my desk so I made a little banner too.

AS A STENCIL

Remember above I told you I used the stencil brushes to color the die cut.  Well I carefully placed that die on a pre-cut piece of whisper white so that when I was done coloring I would have what you see above.  Two cards at once.  Awesome.  The tag is from the Stitched Labels die set and the sentiment is from Love what you do.

AS AN INSERT

This last one was also pretty quick and easy.  I used the Card base to cut out the die then carefully placed it back in the opening, adding a piece of Real Red on the inside.  The sentiment is also from Love What you Do stamp set.  I have to admit, I thought that was the stamp set that coordinated with this die.  It is not, but  no one needs to know that, right!
