Buffallo Check for the Holidays

There are so many wonderful examples of how to use the Buffallo Check background stamp.  This has to be one of my favorite background stamps ever.  I will admit that I have only used this one time, but there are so many other ideas floating around in my head I’m sure you will see more.

My card to day was inspired by Ann Schaht,  I love her work and all the detail she put into each project she completes but I can rarely come up with  that style on my own.  So my card today is more in my style.

I stamped the Buffallo check in black on real red paper using the stamparatus.  To me this is the easiest way to get a crisp image with this stamp.  I pulled out, again, the Pretty Pines thinlits.  I think I have used them more this year than I did last year when they were introduced.

My Sentiment is from Hearts come Home, another carry over from last year.  I recently created an inventory of all the stamp sets I own and the phrases as well as described images.  I’m pretty sure I never would have thought of this sentiment without looking through my spreadsheet.  Once I saw it I knew it was perfect.  The red and black reminds me of flannel so the Warmth of the season was just right.  I stamped with Black but masked off the word Warmth then used my Real Red marker to ink that portion up.
