Door to a New Opportunity

This weekend my oldest niece, Shauna, graduates from college.  But that isn’t the end of her schooling.  She has wanted to be a veterinarian ever since she was 5 years old.  In high school she started working for a local vet learning the trade.  In June she starts the next part of her dream, Veterinary  School at Mississippi State.  She is so excited and we are so happy for her and all she has accomplished so far. This is Shauna with her favorite school horse, Ted.

She will be specializing in Large Animal so I made this card for her to celebrate

Barn Door

Most of the products used are from Stampin Up, except for the Cow and the sentiment.  I put out the word with my stamping friends and was able to borrow some really cute stamp and die sets from a competitor.  I ended up only using the cow but felt it paired really nicely with the Barn Door

I used the barn door stamp set twice with Cherry Cobbler ink on Cherry Cobbler card stock.  I cut them out with the Sliding Door die set along with the wreath, black hardware and the sign.  I stamped my sentiment with Memento Ink on Crumb Cake and adhered it to the sign.  I cut a slit in the cows mouth so she could hold the sign.

For the background piece I inked up the pinewood planks embossing folder with crumb cake ink pad then embossed a piece of crumb cake,  I love how the grain show up so much with just that little difference.

Here is the inside.  I love Well Written dies and the Well Said Stamp set.  (They are 10% off now through June 3) .

Thanks for visiting today.  I hope you enjoyed my barn card for my lovely niece. She is going to be great.

Happy Stamping
