Set Sail in the Direction of Your Dreams

As a demonstrator I am able to order products prior to their availability to the general public.  It is one of the best perks, of many many perks, to being a demonstrator.  So, on May 2nd I placed a huge order so I could start sharing them with you all to get you excited about what you will want to order come June.

In the new catalog, there are whole suites of products that include stamp, die, paper, ribbon, embellishments and more.  The one suite I didn’t think I was going to order, but at the last minute decided to add was the Sailing Home Suite.  In addition to the items I just mentioned it also includes Memories & More cards.  These cards are wonderful for memory keeping but they are also just as wonderful for card making.

I’ll be sharing projects made with this suite all week.  Let’s get started with some cards and I’ll tell you a bit about each of them.

Lighthouse Extra Large Card

This card uses one of the large memories cards, size 4 x 6.  I cut a piece of whisper white card stock at 8-1/4 x 6-1/8 and scored it at 4-1/8.  In addition to cards, this Memories & More card pack also includes laser cut sheets.  I used one with a large full size lighthouse (4×6) but I cut off the bottom, the frame in order to make it fit.

The sentiment is stamped on Sahara Sand and cut with the stitched frame from the die set.  I place another new product, Stitched Nested Frames, underneath.  You are going to love these new dies.  Stampin Up changed to a new manufacturer with this new catalog and I love them.  They seem to be thinner but cut beautifully and the images just fall right out.  I added the ship wheel along with one of the Sail Away Trinkets.

Sail Boats Full Size Card

My second card is a normal 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 card.  I started by stamping a background on the Night of Navy cardstock with Night of Navy Ink.  I layered one of the small Memory cards on a piece of Soft Suede, added the stitched frame as a back drop to the sailboats.  I stamped them each on another of the small Memory cards that was shaded in light balmy blue.  I liked it better than stamping them on just Whisper White.  One of the other dies included is a rope and it looks fabulous when used.  I tied a ship knot from burlap cord and tied an anchor trinket on the Navy/Sahara Sand Baker’s Twine.

Father’s Day Note Card

My final card is a Note Card Father’s Day card.  I again used one of the small Memory cards layered on Mossy Meadow.  There is a piece of the Com Sail Away Designer Series Paper underneath.  The final touch is a lighthouse stamped in Sahara Sand ink on Sahara Sand cardstock and die cut.

Thank you for visiting today.  My next post will be May 8th with some more new products and more of the Come Sail Away suite of products.  I hope you stop again.

Happy Stamping
Lynn
