I really enjoy doing 3D projects and this one was no exception. The frame was fun to make and so versatile to fill with just about anything. It even has it’s own kick stand. And best of all, it only uses one piece of cardstock to make.
I first saw this frame on Brian King’s StampWithBrian.com and Julie DiMatteo’s PaperPixie.com. Julie and Brian are both friends of mine from my Stampin Up community. I followed along with Julie’s video and then created my own ‘inside’.
This week has been Daisy Lane week so of course I had to fill it with a Daisy. I chose Mango Medley primarily because I hadn’t used it in a long long time and because it looked awesome with Night of Navy and Bermuda Bay.
Save this color combination for your future projects when you want something fresh and cheery.
Julie is the 3D queen and is so good about making clear easy to read templates.
I stamped both the large and medium daisy twice with mango medley ink on mango medley cardstock and punched them out. I curled the petals down then placed the daisy on a thick piece of foam, like a piercing mat, and with a stylus pressed down and circled the inside of the flower to give the flower more depth. Here’s a closer look.
Thanks for stopping by today and Thank You Julie for your sweet project. I hope you try your own version of the frame and share with me how it came out. Next week will be a new series of projects where I focus on ‘Fun’. You don’t want to miss it. Until Next Time…
Happy Stamping
Lynn
