Botanical Bliss For the Pal Blog Hop – Wings

Welcome to the Pals’ June  Blog Hop. We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects using “Anything with Wings” You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Hello everyone.  I thought about the theme for this month’s blog hop and was sure I wanted to use birds to fit the Wings theme, but I pulled out Botanical Bliss stamp and Botanical Tags dies instead of the more popular (at least for right now) Free as a Bird.  I did a series on that stamp set a few weeks ago and wasn’t ready to pull it out again just yet.  You can see that series of projects Here, Here and Here.

First the card

Verdant Lane DSP is the real star.  I love the pairing with basic black for a bit of pop on the subtle greens.  I made this card super simple ( in my terms anyway) with just a few leaf branches from Botanical Tag die set and the Stitched Nested sentiment.  The star is the bird stamped in Memento Ink.

The Tag

The card by itself was ok but I thought it needed something else, thus the tag.  Again I pulled out the Botanical Tags dies and made a base then tried to figure out what to do with it.  I kept adding and adding until it was a great companion to the card.  If I had a wedding coming up this would be the perfect card and gift tag.

More inspiration awaits!
