This weeks theme is more subtle that my previous. I won’t be just focusing on one stamp set but rather one very important aspect of our card making….the use of borders.
I had this idea for a card using window sheets. I hadn’t made one for a while and thought the Bloom and Grow stamp would be a great way to use both window sheets and the stamp set. Only problem….I didn’t have any window sheets. Ergh. It finally came in while we were at our cabin last week and I was able to play with it.
I repeated the flowers on the inside and carefully lined them both one on top of the other.
I wasn’t initially intending to use the ribbon but there was a big white space under my sentiment that I wasn’t happy with. Ribbon to the rescue. One of my favorite things about Stampin Up is how the colors work together. I used Terracotta Tile linen ribbon even though my card base and flowers are Calypso Coral. They work great together as the terracotta is a shade darker but in the same tones. Yay
Here is a full step by step printable tutorial if you would like to make this card on your own.
