Monday I shared my first card from a set I am making for a friend to give as gifts this year. All the cards are made using the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper but are non-holiday cards. You can see my previous post here.
I’m back today with Card #2
I always think of Cardinal’s as winter birds, not necessarily Christmas. That’s why I’ve incorporated them into this set of cards I’m making for my friend Colleen to give as gifts this year.
There is something about Red, Black, and Very Vanilla that is just striking. I used that color scheme to create this Enjoy Today Card along with the Christmas Countdown stamp set. The Toile Tidings DSP in the background really sets them off.
I stamped both the branch first and colored with real red and cherry cobbler Stampin blends. I colored plain white pearls with Stampin blends also to set off the branch even more.
I stamped the cardinal in Real Red and then used a black Stampin write marker to add highlights to the bird and the branch. I set it off by creating a frame from the stitched circles in the Stitched Shapes dies set.
