Welcome to InKing Royalty’s February Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate birthdays, so prepare yourself for a wonderful mix of celebratory cards. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Today I have two cards to share, both based on the same theme but with a different feel because of the colors used. I think both are great for masculine birthday and you know those can be hard to do. We crafters love our flowers but all our guys may not appreciate them as much as we do.
I made this card first using the Country Club Designer Series paper. I thought the Stitched Nested dies would go nicely against the argyle pattern. Overall is a pretty simple card to make but you might be leary of the diagonal. I know angles can be hard so here is a tip on how I did it.
Cut a strip of paper the width you want, this one is 1-3/4″ but leave it long. Adhere to the card or layer, lining it up the way you want. Flip it over and use your paper snips to cut off the excess. Perfect angles.
I love this card because of all the texture. I chose to use the corrugated embossing folder for the Poppy Parade layer and I think it just adds so much to what was before just a plain piece of cardstock.
I also colored regular white pearls with my Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin Blend then used the as the ‘lights’ on the banner. Such a quick wow factor.
Thank you for stopping by today.
I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Jennifer Spiller at Westside Paper Creations. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
Happy Stamping

This is a great layout! I love different looks and this is just perfect! Beautiful cards.
Thanks Jackie
Both cards are pretty spectacular, Lynn! I love that you’ve included so much color for these masculine cards (so many guys get brown cards). These are super-celebratory and beautiful while maintaining their masculine charm. So glad you hopped with us today!
No way should guy cards only be brown, right!
I love the layout for these two cards and the colors & patterns you chose, Lynn! Beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks Julie. A keeper layout for sure.
I have this bundle on my desk ready to use. You have inspired me to get crakin’. Love the diagonal interest.
Such cute projects. I especially like the corrugated layer . Thanks for sharing ideas for masculine cards – we always need those.
What fun projects, Lynn! I just love what you’ve done with this set!
Do I have to pick which one I like better? Just can’t. They are both really fun combinations. Thanks for sharing.
I love both of these! I have trouble with more masculine design. I’ll be casing for sure!
