Sneak Peek of new Ornate Garden Suite

Happy Friday.  I’m sharing an Easter card I made using a new suite of products, available for purchase April 1, called Ornate Garden.

The suite is available to demonstrators now as a pre-order, or to you if you include it in your Starter Kit when you join Stampin’ Up.  There are lots of reasons to join Stampin’ Up especially during Sale-A-Bration (ends March 31).  Pre-order opportunities are just one of them.  For all the reasons you should consider joining, click…

Answering Your Joining SU Questions

Instead of digging into the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper, or even the two stamps sets included in this suite, I decided to focus on the Ornate Layers dies and the Ornate floral 3D embossing folder first.  Don’t worry, you’ll see projects in the future using the other items because they are lovely.

The Ornate Layers dies are designed to work as layer upon layer of ornateness.  But I wanted to see if I could make a frame instead of a layer.  I choose the next to largest layer and realized that one of the stitched rectangle dies would/should fit perfectly inside it.  I die cut the layer then placed the stitched rectangle inside and die-cut again.  It worked but not consistently. It had to be perfect.  So I switched it up and cut the stitched rectangle out first, then used the frame around the remaining opening.  This way was much easier and much more consistent.

I’ve created a video (like my third one ever) to share start to finish how I made this card.  I hope you’ll check it out and let me know your thoughts.

Thank you for visiting today.  I always appreciate your comments and answer all questions as soon as possible.  Until next time…

Happy Stamping

One more thing to tell you about this “fam-tastic” kit: The Paper Pumpkin team knows that everyone’s clan is unique.
