I have several Bee Cards to share this week. I really haven’t given this stamp set enough love since I’ve had it so now was the time.
I have lots of that wonderful Golden Honey Bee paper but I really wanted to use the stamp set to the fullest extent. I started by using my Stamparatus to line up the bee hive and the sentiment as well as the flowers over the top. I used the Detailed Bee Dies – also sold out – to crop the smaller bees but you could do that with paper snips or a Scan-n-Cut machine. The large golden bee was cropped with my scan-n-cut but again I could have done it with snips instead.
I matted the stamped image with basic black and then started figuring out how I wanted my card to look. I pulled out just a strip of the designer series paper just for an accent topped it off with another piece of basic black. I wanted more gold so I used a stitched rectangle to crop a piece of gold foil and then cut it in half to layer under my stamping.
Final touches include using the Subtle 3D embossing folder on a piece of Whisper White Thick and some Gilded Gems – new with the Ornate Garden Suite of products early release. They add a nice touch in the corner.
