Who’s in the spring mood. Every day I sit in my office and look out my window at my neighborhood. Right now, it looks green and brown with the trees just beginning to bud. I used that to inspire my card for today.
I have a video today too, sharing how I made this card, specifically the background. It’s a fun technique I hope you will give a try.
Dimensions
- Very Vanilla thick cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 scored at 4-1/4
- Perrenial Essence Designer Series Paper from the annual catalog 4 x 5-1/4
- Very Vanilla 4-3/4 x 3-1/2
- Very Vanilla 3/4 x 4

The sponge daubers and holder I use are from Amazon. I don’t have an affiliation with them for this product, I just like it and find it a great way to store all my daubers. I use a label maker to identify which dauber is which and created a grid paper by hand to go in the lid. Click on the image for a link to the product. $19.96 for 40 daubers and the case with Prime shipping.
Thank you for visiting today. I always appreciate your comments and answer all questions as soon as possible. Until next time…
Happy Stamping

Great card. I loved the way you created the background with ink. I haven’t seen that before. So much fun to learn new things. I also noticed you had magnetic plexiglass pieces that you used to position you paper for stamping. Where did you get those? That seems like a really cool idea. How do they work, well?
Hi Susan, Thanks for your comments. This is such an easy technique to use and can be done with so many color combinations.
The acrylic pieces I have in my stamparatus are actually from MISTI, a competitor product to the Stamparatus. They are called MISTI creative corners and they do work great to pull the paper away from the corner where the Stamparatus doesn’t stamp well. I just leave the one corner piece in there all the time.
