May the 4th be with you. Yup, today is May the Fourth or otherwise known as Star Wars Day. When I was working full time in IT it was considered a Holiday. A Nerd Holiday, along with March 14, or Pi Day. : )
My card today is a quick one using the new Ornate Thanks bundle. The Ornate Thanks suite has beautiful paper, layer dies and two stamp sets. I’ve used some of all of them here today.
My daughter’s best friend is a nurse at our local hospital. She is dealing with the COVID-19 or other health issues every day. She is also expecting her second child this summer. She is constantly on my mind, hoping she is staying safe even though she essential. This card is for her.
I didn’t originally intend for this card to have a unique opening. I had designed it for a plain ole standard size card with the white die-cut on the outside. I grabbed my Blushing Bride card base already cut and in my paper stash only to realize when I went to assemble, the front was 3/4″ short. No problem, just an opportunity to rearrange.
The finished size of this card is 5-1/4 x 7-3/4 scored at 4-1/4. It’s fun to create something different on occasion. Give it a try on your next project.

Great card! I really love the unique way you used the border dies. Pleasant surprise when opening the card! I don’t have the border dies yet but I really NEED them!
Thanks for sharing!
