I want to say Thank you to the Birds & Branches stamp and die set bundle. It has been a pleasure to work with you this week. You showed me many attributes of your designs and how I can be creative using them. I now have four wonderful cards that will be going out in the mail.
As you might have guessed, I’ve been using the Birds & Branches stamp and die bundle this week. You can see my previous posts Here, and Here. and Here.
Today I also used Birds & Branches, but no birds. When I turned the branch image vertically, it looked like a tree to me. And the little branch looked like a flower stem. So that’s what I did.
Masking with a Die Cut
I stamped everything first, then using a technique I learned from fellow Demonstrator Jennifer Spiller, I cut a mask using one of the Stitched Nested Dies and used it to contain the sponging around the image. Jennifer is much better at this than I am but I’ll be practicing more in the weeks to come.
One of the dies from the set is a border die. How beautiful is that over on the side. I added just a strip of In Good Taste designer series paper on the opposite side for balance. The Thanks sentiment is from Many Mates and was cropped with another Stitched nested die. The symmetry made me smile.
