World of Good for the Graduate

There are some stamps and bundles that immediately speak to me and I can’t wait to get my hands on them…..then there are the others, the ones that I need a bit of convincing.  This World of Good suite was in that second category. I do love to travel but I’m not one for sending cards to others that have to do with travel.  This suite is also perfect for scrapbooks but I’m not one of those either.  I did finally change my mind and put it on an order and now I’m so glad I did.

Included in the suite are dies, stamps, ribbon, embellishments, and an embossing folder called Old Paper. It was the embossing folder I started with for my card today celebrating a nephew’s graduation from High School.

The embossing folder is 6×6 so I started with a 6×6 piece of the new 2020-2022 IN- Color Cinamon Cider cardstock and ran it through the embossing folder.  I then pulled out a very old crumb cake stampin’ spot that wasn’t very inky and rubbed it all over the paper.  It really made this paper look like old leather or parchment.  For the piece on my card I cut the out a 3×3 section then tore off around all the sides so no straight edges were left.

The globe has two layers, a full circle and a detailed die for either North and South America or Europe and Africa.  I chose the North American side, since that is where I live, and die cut it using Mossy Meadow.  The globe stand is cut from the new Brass Foil sheets.  Similar to Gold but a bit darker.

The ribbon is called Faux Suede trim and is super soft and pliable but looks just like a piece of suede leather.  The Antiqued Corners and Slides embellishments add a sophisticated touch on the World of Good Specialty Designer Series paper.

I only used one of the stamps from the set for my sentiment and heat embossed it on Early Espresso then snipped around it with my scissors.  I love that technique for sentiments.  It just makes them pop.

Thank you for visiting today.  I always appreciate your comments and answer all questions as soon as possible.  Until next time…

Happy Stamping
Lynn
