Love of Leaves Sneak Peek

I’m so glad we now have a break – at least a little bit – from our 90 degree days.  Those aren’t supposed to be common in my neck of Ohio but this month we had 19 of them.  Now that we are back in the mid 80’s where we are supposed to be, I start thinking of fall and the Love of Leaves stamps and Stitched Leaves dies and the cards I can make with those products.

Love of Leaves

I used this card in one of my classes this week because they also were looking forward to Fall.  The Love of Leaves bundle was so fun to start out my fall stamping.  It wasn’t until I started prepping for a class that I realized how many die sets I used to make one card.  Can you count them?  If you guessed 4 you are correct.

Love of Leaves

Of course, the Stitched Leaves dies are obvious.  I cut two of them from the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper and the third I stamped Bumblebee ink on Bumblebee cardstock then cut it out.

Love of LeavesThe background die and the little Garden Green branches are from the new Plaid Tidings DSP with a new stamp and die bundle in Aug – Dec mini catalog (available for purchase Aug 4) called Celebration Labels Dies.  These labels are really great for topping treat bags.  Each has a notch and can be easily folded in half.

Ornate Borders is what I pulled out to create the bordered design on the background piece of crumb cake cardstock.  Finally, I used Ornate Frames for the small sentiment.  This die-cut set was first introduced last year in the fall mini catalog and then carried over to the spring and now in the annual catalog.

Love of Leaves

The common thing about all of these die sets, with maybe the exception of the Love of Leaves Bundle, is they can be used on SOOO MANNY different types of cards.  I keep all versatile type die sets separate from the rest of my die sets because I use them all the time on lots of projects.  To me, these are staples of the paper crafter’s stash.
