I’m sharing a new card today I made using the Festive Corners stamp set along with the Coming Home stamp set. I appreciate a stamp or die set that can be used in more than one way. Wasn’t it Alton Brown who said never buy a tool for your kitchen that can only do one thing? I feel the same applies to paper crafting supplies and the Coming Home stamp set fits that criteria as well. You can see my other projects using Coming Home Here and Here.
I think this card could easily be created in bulk if you use the stamparatus for the Festive Corners and some careful placement on your blocks for the rest.
I only wanted to use a few ‘spooky’ colors and I also have a hard time making a spiderweb out of any color other than white. It’s a thing, what can I say. So, I used Versamark to stamp all four corners at once using my stamparatus on basic gray cardstock cut to 4 x 5-1/4. Powder with white embossing powder and heat.
I stamped the Coming Home house on a piece of thick whisper white cut to 2-1/2 x 3-3/4. I placed the smoke and tree stamps on a block to line up with the house. Because they were oriented to the house, it didn’t matter where exactly I stamped the house, the smoke and tree would line up perfectly every time.
I colored the house with light & dark Stampin blends in Smoky Slate, Pumpkin pie, So Saffron and, Basic Black. I used my basic black marker to draw the horizon line and around the tree. The final touch was a 3/4 ” circle cut from Smokey Slate then daubed with Smoky Slate ink to create the moon. It is all popped up with dimensionals on a Smoky Slate card base 4-1/4 x 11 scored at 5-1/2.
Thank you for visiting today.I hope you consider purchasing the Festive Corners Stamp set for your own Holiday crafting this year. I always appreciate your comments and answer all questions as soon as possible. Until next time…
Happy Stamping
