A week ago I posted a Christmas Card using the Coming Home stamp and die bundle. You can see that post HERE. Today I want to share the same stamp and die set only using the Magic in This Night Halloween suite available Aug 4 in the new Aug-Dec mini catalog.
Do the houses look familiar? I stamped all of them using Versamark but this time on Magic in This Night Designer Series Paper and heat embossed with white powder. How cool. I used the slope dies too to create my scene.
But you can’t have Magic in this Night without the night. I used sponge daubers and some masking to create the background and all with the same colors I used with the houses.
I created a mask for the moon by die cutting a circle from the circles dies from a post-it note. I placed the post-it note where I wanted the moon to be and then started sponging with daubers. First with Just Jade around the moon, then Pretty Peacock around that and finally Blackberry Bliss above and below. I made sure to blend the colors together. I daubed in smokey slate after removing the mask.
To create the bats I used the three bats die cut from scrap paper then used that scrap as a mask and sponged in black ink over the moon.
I love the new Metallic Mesh Ribbon and thought it gave a nice anchor for the sentiment. I finished it off with some new Iridescent Pearls. Can’t stress enough how cool looking those pearls are in person.
