Merry and Bright for Christmas in July

I have another card for you today using the Peace & Joy stamp and die bundle.  This time I’m focusing on making my Christmas Merry and Bright.

Merry and Bright

The Joy Die makes it so easy to create layers for the word Bright and I love the label look stamps that are included.  So easy to make a card say Merry and Bright in big bold lettering.  I cut the smallest and the largest Bright Die from Pool Party and the medium size in white.  Once I had all that layered together I worked on the stamping behind it.

So many green tones will work with the images from this stamp set.  I used Shaded Spruce, Granny Apple Green, Old Olive, and of course Real Red berries.

I cased this from the sample showing in the catalog on page 18, upper left corner. The sample is decorating one of the new Mini Paper Pumpkin boxes.  I however wanted to make it into a card instead.

At first, I envisioned my card to be a 3 x 5-1/2 slimline but once I had everything together knew it needed something more.  I absolutely love Real Red with Pool Party, especially for Christmas, and wow did that add some pop.  Especially after I embossed it with the Dainty Diamonds 3D embossing folder from the annual catalog Peony Garden Suite. Old Olive 1/4 ribbon from the Ornate Garden ribbon combo finishes it off.

Thank you for visiting today.  I always appreciate your comments and answer all questions as soon as possible.  Until next time…

Happy Stamping
Lynn
