Have you noticed the new Stitched Triangle dies in the annual catalog? They are bundled with a stamp set called The Right Angle, full of cool triangle designs. I’ll be sharing a fun birthday card using that stamp set in my next post. Today, I’m using the Tree Angle stamp set to make a Three Trees card for the Holiday.
I had fun pulling the designs and shapes of triangles I wanted for my trees today. Three Trees are pleasing to the eye. So are three trees that vary slightly in size, all part of the rule of three that you’ll notice everywhere in the design world once you look for it.
Can you get any more traditional holiday colors than real Red and Shaded Spruce? The Designer series paper from Tis the Season was my inspiration for my Three Trees color combination. The two-step stamping in the Tree Angle photopolymer stamp set made it so easy to coordinate the designs in different colors.
With all that is going on with the Three Trees I didn’t want an overpowering sentiment. A simple sentiment cut from the Joy dies (part of a stamp/die bundle save 10%) was all it needed.
