What kind of Stamper/paper crafter are you? Stampin’ UP! has identified three general kinds of stampers, Beginner Stamper, Casual Crafter and Avid Crafter. Are you a beginner, just starting out making cards or scrapbook pages? Your cards are pretty simple because you are just learning what this cardmaking thing is all about.
Today’s post is the start of a three part series I’m doing on of how to make the same card three ways. I used the Peace and Joy stamp set and basic supplies to create the first card I’ll be sharing today. Be sure to check back Monday and Friday next week to see the rest.
This card is just right for you. It is a single layer of thick white cardstock, using the Peace & Joy stamp set and some ink spots.
Add some wow
Even beginner stampers can add wow to their cards. I’ve done it on this card by adding stripes of color to Whisper White Thick Cardstock.
The stripes of color were made using the ink spots (small 1×1″ ink pads), swiping across the cardstock. It is pretty much impossible to mess this technique up so perfect for beginners. The rest of the stamping is done with stamp blocks and the photopolymer stamps. These stamps are clear, see-through stamps making it so easy to see where you are stamping.
I love this stamp set because of its big bold sentiments and little tiny block sentiments. These are SO SO easy to stamp in any color, right on your card front, or stamp and snip them out with scissors and add with liquid glue. It’s perfect for a beginner stamper.
I hope you liked this Beginner Stamper Card and feel able to create your own with the basic supplies shown below. Be sure to stop back on Monday for the next version of this card. You’ll be pleasantly pleased how a few tweaks will change up this card.
