Are you a casual crafter? You make cards or scrapbook pages on a semi-regular basis and have been doing so for a while. You’ve got some layers and embellishments. You probably have a die cutting machine you use too.
Today’s post is the second of a three-part series I’m doing on how to make the same card three ways. For this casual crafter card I used the Peace & Joy stamp set and some basic supplies again, plus embellishments and die cuts to create my card. Click here to see my Beginner Stamper card and be sure to check back Friday to see the final Avid Crafter version.
Beginner Stampers are the queens ( and Kings) of simple stamping. This stepped-up Casual Crafter card uses the same ink spot to cardstock technique for the stripes but adds some dimension and die-cutting for a more intricate presentation.
Stepped Up
There are four layers of cardstock under the Joy sentiment. The coordinating Joy Dies cut all three of these layers easily with plain card stock. I adhered them together using liquid glue, with the whole thing popped up on a dimensional.
Dimensionals are double-sided adhesive-backed foam that provides dimension to your card front. I use them A LOT!!! I finished off this card with some retired fun color-coordinated adhesive-backed enamel dots. Red Rhinestones would work just as well.
I hope you liked this Casual Crafter Card and feel like you might be able to create your own with the supplies shown below. Be sure to stop back on Friday for the final Avid Crafter version of this card.
