Ridiculously Awesome

Ever have a need for some happy? Something bright and cheery? Today is one of those days. Ridiculously Awesome seems to be a good goal to have on a day like this.

I cased this card from Paula Reid at Yellowbearstamping.com I was browsing her site because of another card I had seen and came across this one. I did change it up a little bit…

RECTANGLE STITCHED DIES

Start by cropping 5 stitched rectangles (a must-have item IMO) from Shimmer white cardstock then use an Aqua painter brush to wash color onto each one. The more color the darker it will be. I used Magenta Madness, Mango Melody, Gorgeous Grape, Granny Apple Green and Coastal Cabana.

Place the panels on a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of basic white, placing the outside panels first, then the middle, then the insides to give you the most consistent placement and spacing.

STAMPARATUS

Cut a piece of window sheet to 3-1/4 x 5-1/4. Use the Stamparatus and Stazon Ink with the Ridicoulsly Awesome sentiment. Stamp multiple times to get the desired saturation.

Use the Medium Daisy punch and the Perennial Flower punch to create the flowers and leaves. I sniped the Perennial Flower punch apart for the leaf shapes. Use the flowers to hide the stampin dimensionals under the window sheet.

  1. Beautiful card, Lynn. I love the bright colors and your tips for how you made it. Very clever to use the Perennial Flower Punch for the leaves. Enjoy your day!

  2. So cheery! and easy, thank you.

    • It sure is. I’ve definetly been on a cheery color kick lately. Sign of the times I guess. Be safe and be healthy and Happy Stamping.
