A Golden Garden Farewell

One of the most beautiful stamps/die/paper suites is featured on the cover of the Stampin’ UP! Jan-June mini catalog, Fine Art. I was going through my products and sorting out those that were retiring from this catalog (but still available through June 2021) when I found a full pack of the coordinating Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate that needed to be used up.

There are three designs of acetate in the Golden Garden, two of which are designed to be overlays for two of the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper. More on those in a later this week. The third design is featured in my card above where I used it over a monochromatic piece of the DSP. While this DSP was introduced in Jan, well before we knew what our new 2021-2023 In colors would be, I think it looks amazing with the new Soft Succulent cardstock.

Create the flowers with the Fine Art stamp set, a two step stamp design by using the new Pale Papya In color along with Calypso Coral then crop it with the coordinating die. The smaller flower doesn’t have a two step but you can add some shading using the rock and roll technique. Ink the image with the lighter color then roll the stamp in the darker color along the edges.

Stop by on Wednesday for two more projects using the Fine Art floral and Golden Garden acetate sheets. PS: It’s almost Mother’s Day. Wouldn’t these cards make great cards for the mom’s in your life too?
