Fun with Free Penguin Playmates

Last week I shared a card made using the free with purchase paper – Beautifully Penned. You can see that post here. Today I’m sharing another card made using the free with purchase paper – Penguin Playmates. This cute Designer Series Paper coordinates with the Playful Penguins stamp set and Penguin Builder punch (currently out of stock). While I did use the punch to make my card, I didn’t really have to as it would have been just as easy to snip it with scissors like I did with the other critters.

I love the sentiment – I like you a lottle….

It’s like a little, except a lot. How cute. And perfect for many occasions. To make my card I used several pieces of the Penguine Playmates Designer Series paper, including the critters I snipped out for the front panel. The trees stamped in the background are from the Peaceful Deer stamp set from the mini catalog. All the products I used today are listed below with links for easy shopping.

Step by Step Penguin card

  1. Soft sea foam card base 11 x 4-1/4 scored at 5-1/2. Adhere a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Penguin Playmates DSP on a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Misty Moonlight and add panel to your card front.
  2. Stamp slope image from playful penguins using fresh freesia ink on basic white. Cut out with paper snips. Stamp trees from Peaceful Deer using Just Jade (some full strength and some stamped off) and Soft Sea Foam as shown. Attach to card front with dimensional.
  3. Stamp penguin in black ink with a fresh freesia bow tie and a pumpkin pie nose. Snip with scissors or punch out with Penguin Builder Punch. Use tape or liquid glue to attach to card front.
  4. Snip with scissors the fox, bunny, polar bear with snowman, and bird with hat. Add to card front as show, with dimensional under the fox and the rabbit.
  5. Stamp sentiment on basic white using Misty Moonlight and punch with the Dual oval punch. Add bird with hat using liquid glue and add to card front with dimensional.
  6. Adhere a piece of stripped DSP 4 x 5-1/4 to the inside of the card. Stamp the second sentiment on a piece of basic white 3-1/2 x 4-3/4. Ink the first half of the sentiment with Misty Moonlight first and stamp, then clean the stamp and repeat with the second portion of the sentiment.
  7. Stamp the Penguin in the bottom corner. Stamp nose and feet and snip with scissors and add with liquid glue.
