It is definitely the gift card season so what better way to give a gift card than in a cute holder. There are oodles of card designs, some super simple and some very elaborate, but regardless of the style, the recipient will appreciate the effort you put in to make it special.
I found this gift card holder design on StampingHabit.com last week. You can see the original post HERE. Karen used different paper and cardstock but the design is the same. I chose to go a little less busy and only two patterns of Painted Christmas DSP along with Real Red and Shaded Spruce, truly Christmas colors.
The top portion of the card opens in a Z fold to reveal two more panels, one for messages and one for the gift card. Very clever. The bottom portion of the card is a single sheet of cardstock, 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 .
Gift Card Measurements
- Shaded Spruce 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 and 3-1/2 x 4-1/2
- Painted Christmas DSP 5-1/4 x 4
- Real Red 4-1/4 x 9-3/4. Score at 3-1/4 and 6-1/2
- DSP 3 x 4
- white 3 x 4
- DSP 3 x 2
- Cardstock 3 x 3/4 (for card holder)
- cardstock 3 x 1 for card front.
- Additional white for stamping and punching
Stamp sentiment from Christmas to Remember and punch with the Everyday Label Punch. Crop two holly leaves and some berries stamped on white using the Seasonal Labels Dies. Stamp Merry Christmas from Christmas to Remember on the inside panel. All the rest is assembly.
