How about a new fun fold for Easter. I learned about this fun fold from my friend and fellow demonstrator Jackie Beers from Georgia who shared this at a recent team meeting. It is called an easel card because it stands up like an easel for the recipient to display and is really easy to make.

The card lays flat for easy mailing.

Then stands up and tucks under the raised sentiment on the inside.

Measurements

Card base – Cut cardstock to 4-1/4 x 11

On the long side score at 5-1/2 and 4-1/4. There will now be a section that is 4-1/4 x 4-1/4. With the cardstock laying long ways and the 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 section on the right. Score that section from the bottom left corner to the top right corner. You can do this by folding it, or using a scoreboard like below.

These back pictures show how it folds to stand up.

Fold on the 5-1/2″ like normal. Make the fun fold by folding in the opposite direction on the 4-1/4. This is also called a book fold so the narrow section in the middle is glued down to the bottom of the card base.

Cut a 4-1/8 x 4-1/8 piece of cardstock and adhere to the bottom right corner of the diagonal. Do not attach to the top. Adhere a piece of Designer series paper 4 x 4 to the cardstock and decorate as you choose. I stamped the two daffodils and colored them with Daffodil Delight and Pale Papaya Stampin blends then cropped them with the coordinating dies and mounted them on a vellum circle.

I adhered to a piece of 4-1/8 x 1-1/8 cardstock to the narrow section with a 1 x 4 piece of designer series paper on top. The sentiment Easter Blessings was stamped with versa mark and heat embossed with gold powder on a 2 x 3/4 piece of cardstock then adhered on the inside using dimensionals.
