What's New Little Ladybug

The Little Ladybug introduced in the Jan-June mini catalog has made it into the Annual catalog and I couldn’t be happier. She is just too cute and fun to create with. I’ve got a simple card here for you today with a couple of sneak-peek items from the upcoming July-Dec mini catalog.

Ladybug Step by Step

This card begins with a standard card base of thick basic white 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4. On top of that add a piece of Perfectly Penciled Designer Series Paper 4-1/8 x 5-3/8.
Stamp the big leaf from the Ladybug stamp set with Parakeet Party and Garden Green on a piece of 5-1/4 x 3-1/2 basic white. Surround it with some Polished Pink flowers and use a tape runner to add to the card front at an angle to show off those polka dots.
Ink the Ladybug image in Tuxedo black and stamp and punch. Ink up the wings using Poppy Parade and punch as well.
Adhere the wings to the ladybug with dimensional and then attach the ladybugs to the card front as shown with liquid glue.
Ink the two sentiments from the Charming Sentiments bundle in Versamark on Black cardstock. Heat emboss with white powder and die cut with coordinating dies. Add to the card front with dimensional.

Now for the Sneak Peek

There is a new product coming in the July to Dec mini catalog (July 1) called Pearlized Enamel Effects. This product goes on as a liquid then dries hard like enamel and comes in Red, Black, and White. Use black on the Ladybug wings and white on all the centers of the Polished Pink flowers. The white picked up ink from the stamp and turned pink too. I love that. You will need to allow this product time to dry. I did not attempt to heat it with a heat gun so I’m not sure if that works or not.
