#HBD2U Alphabest

Last week was my granddaughter Hadley’s 10th birthday. I wanted a fun bright card to celebrate her entering double digits and this card did the trick. I found this card on StampingMom.com and recreated it only using a different set of letters from Alphabest stamp and punch bundle. So fun.

Halloween-designed paper isn’t just for Halloween. The paper used on this card is from Black & White, found on page 55 of the mini catalog. With the black background and white stripes, you can make this paper into anything you need for your project just using markers or Stampin’ Blends. I used Polished Pink, Tahitian tide, Orchid Oasis, Parakeet Party, and the retired Mango Melody blends.

The diagonal stripe is skinny on one side and thick on the other. I used a combination of the two for my card, with a black layer underneath, all on a polished pink card base.

The Alphabest stamp set and Best Label punch make creating sentiments super fun. I’ve found it is easier to punch out the cardstock first, then stamp the letter. This breaks one of my basic rules of ‘Stamp then Punch’ but in this case it is worth it.

Here is another version of the same card using Alphabest and more ‘manly’ colors of So Saffron, Tahitian Tide and Granny Apple Green for a Thank You. Pinterest is full of ideas on how to use this stamp set. I hope you’ll take a look and find your own inspiration.
