Gnomes are so popular now and have been for a couple of years. I’m excited to share a new Stampin’ UP! suite, Storybook Gnomes. It just became available on July 1 when the new July-June mini catalog went live to customers so this is my first project using the products.
The Suite comes with all kinds of goodies: Kindest Gnomes Stamp set, Gnome dies, Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper, Fine Sparkle Adhesive-backed Gems, Balmy Blue & White 3/8″ and Snowfall Accents Puff Paint. Of course, all these items can be purchased individually, but the $80.50 price point for everything is pretty awesome. My card today uses the Gnome Dies, the Storybook Gnomes Designer series paper, and the gems.

I love it when dies coordinates with the Designer Series Paper as well as the stamp set. It made this card really easy to put together by die-cutting the toadstool house and the two gnomes directly from the paper.

I used another new product to create the background of my card, the Aspen Tree dies. These dies actually coordinate with the Perched in a Tree stamp set but I thought they would make a great mask for my Gnome background.
ASPEN TREE DIES $36.00
I die cut the trees first then trimmed them out from the oval before using them as a mask. I used my Blending Brushes to add some Bermuda Bay ink to my 4 x 5-1/4 Basic White sheet first, then used the trees as a mask and added more Bermuda Bay to create the tree look. It was the perfect addition to my little gnomes.
